Kaabil movie review

"An eye for an eye makes the whole world blind." And Kaabil has proven this quote to be true. It’s a phenomenal script, written well and portrayed even better. Kabil is a perfect example of a blockbuster Bollywood movie. It’s got all the formulas of making the movie a super hit that it is. It’s got the right mix of passion, emotions, action, romantic songs and a sizzling item number that stands out. This movie is an example of what typical hit Bollywood movies are supposed to be like.

All the actors have done their jobs really well. Hrithik Roshan- The superstar deserves applause for riding the movie on his shoulders. Performing role of a blind man isn't easy. He has managed to ace most nuances that of a blind man quite smoothly.

Kaabil, being Yami Gautam’s one big chance to prove herself as an actress, has come to her like a rescue from disappearance from the industry. She has acted well in the movie and starring opposite Hrithik Roshan has earned her brownie points.

Urvashi Rautela has outdone herself in the item number ‘Sara Zamana’ remix. She has danced well to the refined tunes of the old song. The song is remixed just how remixes should be with a hint of keeping the old lyrics and writing new ones to the same tunes to make it the number one playing track in cars and parties.

The Roy brothers- Rohit and Ronit came back on screen after a long time. Although Rohit’s Maharashtrian accent could have been better, Ronit did a good job of being the gully loafer.

The direction is insync with the screen play and its shot crisply. Although the editing just before ‘Sara Zamana’ song comes up could have been better, but all in all the texture of the film is rich and watchable. The movie passes in its cinematography with exact shots making the viewer fell like a part of the story.

Kaabil is a movie of a man who loses the love of his life to suicide because she gets raped not once but twice by the same perpetrators. The justice system of India fails Rohan-Hrithik and he decides to take up the matter in his hands. After having lost his wife-Yami Guatam, the man becomes fearless to any consequence of his choices thereafter.

The joy and the purity of having loved his wife-Supriya dearly make him bold and he decides, by well- planned moves to kill all those who destroyed his life. The fact that he is blind since birth does not stop him from taking revenge from his enemies.

What struck me the most about this movie was that the messaging of this film is extremely powerful – The mind sees all. The way Hrithik proves in this film that nothing is impossible if you are determined has a lasting impression on the audience. That nothing can stop you from achieving what you wan if you have a clear goal and focus.

Kabil has an intensity that’ll blow your mind!

Movie buff,
Jumana
