In the Lives of Mr. & Mrs. Saxena, Sequel to The Love Game Season 3, Episode: 6

Dressed in an off-shoulder, short, black Donna Karen, belted black stilets, beige clutch and a hint of nude lip tint with her waves falling softly on her shoulders and her bangs falling on her eyes; Jahnvi could kill! Posing against the door of their walk-in-wardrobe, Jahnvi smiled and Prantik could have fainted but he held on and he didn’t know why, he just kept smiling after that. He thought, “I feel like I am officially dating my wife!”

Nervously, Prantik took Jahn’s arm and they headed for dinner. Prantik couldn’t take his eyes off Jahn the whole night. She kept yapping away and he tried to listen but he was busy imagining her with him on the outskirts of town, somewhere between rivers and mountains on a tabletop “whisking” away with the moon.

“Are you even here Prantik or you’re thinking about work?” Jahnvi impatiently snapped her fingers before his eyes and he came back to reality. Now Jahnvi looked playful, her lip tint all gone and “consumably” toying with her bangs she asked, “So what do you think should be my next feature, if I ever write again?”

Prantik pretended to dip his piece of Temaki in red vinaigrette and with sheer willpower to control his erotic thoughts, he said despondently, “Babe, just write. If you want ill get adds in City Times for you to write uncensored versions of paparazzi blogs. Just write.”

Jahnvi was amused and smiling she said, “So you know I haven’t been writing? Let me guess, your jasoos, Neetu!” She laughed and Prantik dared look at his wife while sharing a slight laugh with her, he couldn’t take it. He was fucking turned on!

Suddenly looking at his U-cut that she called his patent hair style, getting a clear look at his side profile from across the table, smiling boyishly looking down at his plate with his hand brushing his hair; Jahnvi fell in love with her husband all over again. She felt absolutely in sync with boo again! She extended her hand on the table and he held it with his in return. She felt the pressure and she was suddenly secure again. He looked up and said shyly, “Like old times, want to go for a long drive babe?”

She got up from the table and they headed for their last night out in a long time to come again. She was sad that she had to take this step to go away for a while but she knew she’d never know if their marriage would work otherwise.

The whole night they held hands and Prantik swore once Jahn was okay again he would take her between mountains and rivers under the reflection of the daunting moon and make love to her, bring their gene into the world with her on that night.

They returned home at about 5 or 6 in the morning and Neetu happily answered the door for her favorite people! Her madam glowing with love and her saab looked like a very mature husband, like her saab was sad but happy at the same time. They both then headed towards their room and slept it off until 10 after which her saab rushed out to work at 10:30 am, a little later than his usual time. While heading out, he called to Neetu and said while punching for the elevator, “Madam ko lunch mat skip karne dena.”

Neetu closed the door and went to madam’s bedroom. She opened it slightly and saw her madam sitting on the bed numbly. Neetu asked her, “madam tea?”

For Jahnvi, the night was still young. She knew after last night that Prantik was thinking something. Something was definitely going on in his mind. She had wanted to make love to him after returning home. Her soul was yearning to be cuddled in his arms. She even knew he wanted it too and the both hadn’t made love for quite some time now. But she thought somehow the time was just off these days.

It didn’t occur to Jahnvi that her husband was sick worried about her health.

On the way to work, Prantik thought about last night. In the midst of his professional life, he had completely forgotten how much he had missed out dating his wife. As he had gotten ready for work in the morning, seeing Jahn sleep, he had looked at her and somehow felt like this was a phase in his married life,  that Jahn was going to be just fine. He would make sure of that. He reached work as his colleagues stared at him in wonder because he had never before been late to work. He smiled at them helplessly and locked his cabin. He then logged into Tinder and messaged his wife.

Hi Jahnvi!

Jahnvi was enjoying some tea, sitting on her love seat in the study cum guest bedroom when her phone pinged. She was thinking about Prantik and their day of marriage. Of the promises they had made to each other on their wedding day. She replied indifferently, “Hey Sid, sup”

Nothing much, just chilling at work. Why’s such a beauty up so early?

Haha, thanks Sid. But I was thinking about my husband right now.

Oh really? What?

He is my holy. He is the only one for me and I love him.

Nice, so what’s the problem?

I still have to go away.

Don’t go.

I’m crying right now. It’s this feeling of being so close to him yet being so far away that makes me yearn for him even more. But if I don’t go, I will never know if we will work out through thick and thin in future.

Hmmm. Just chill. If he loves you, he will get you back from even the heavens. What’s a little American block?

Lol! That’s true. I feel better. Gotta go and write something today. Have a great day Sid!

Prantik felt relieved. He then got to work that day without even a lunch break and finished a week’s worth of work in a day because he had learned over his career the skill to complete a day’s job in 30 minutes. That was totally thanks to his boss, Raylon.

Jahnvi had written a beautiful limerick on the joys and loss of appropriate weather to synopsize the need to take action over climate control. She had felt at peace again. Her editor had approved the unique piece and then she realized that something was wrong with her!

Hi Dr. Tripti, can we speak?

Jahnvi! How are you?

Jahnvi narrated the timeline of events of the past few weeks to her therapist and she gripped the phone so tight, it could break when she heard Dr. say, “You’re in shock.”
